It's hard to believe that Kelli is now 4 years old.

Good News

The pulomonologist called with Kelli's test results on Friday.  Thankfully, everything is normal.  Her blood work was normal and there is no indication of acid reflux or cystic fibrosis.  His conclusion is that her cough is caused by enlarged tonsils and adenoids, which are trapping germs in her body.  Right now she is on two different medications that can help shrink the tonsils and adenoids, but it takes at least 3 months before this will start happening.  We have a follow up visit planned for mid-April.

She met with a counselor for the first time on Wednesday, and she seemed to enjoy the play therapy.  The counselor would like to meet with her on a weekly basis, if our schedule can handle it, so her next appointment is on Monday.  I think it's going to be difficult to meet on a weekly basis though, because the counselor does not have many late afternoon appointments available.  However, I am praying that God will work out something for us so that Kelli can continue to meet with the counselor as much as possible.

Kelli has been doing a bit better with controlling her outbursts (screaming/tantrums).  I have started a sticker incentive chart with her, and it does seem to be helping.  Although she does need frequent reminders to help keep her on track.

This is what Kelli wore on dress up day at school.  Her first counseling session was after school that day, and she was still wearing it when she met with her counselor.

THANK YOU!!!

Sitting in bed all day can get quite boring.  However, thanks to friends and family, Kelli has been receiving wonderful care packages fill...
